This is something we really need to think upon. If something happens to us or to somebody known to us then we want others to testify for us whereas if something happens to some stranger then we ourselves back out.

Because people wants to stay away from extra trouble that will be likely given by police and other people. But we should think that, the trouble we might get from testifying is not bigger than the loss caused by criminal offenses.
